A day late, I know.

But Zev turned two yesterday.

Happy Birthday Little Man.

The title of the blog

Yes, its an odd title. It comes from the names of my children. When choosing names, my husband and I wanted names that had meaning. My son's name comes from his paternal grandfather; his Yiddish name meant 'Wolf', and thus we named my son Zev, the Hebrew name for 'Wolf'.

When deciding on the girls' names, my husband chose Tzelia for his grandmother. Tzelia means 'Shade'. I chose the name Meorah for her sister, meaning 'Light' or 'Enlightenment', symbolizing the effect the bed rest and complications the pregnancy had on me - it was a time of a lot of personal growth and reflection. "Watching Wolves amidst the Shade and Light" is thus a nice statement for this next passage of my life: watching my children grow together and enjoying the journey.
